Groundskeeper / Porter

Hire Priority Staffing, leaders in Multifamily Maintenance Staffing, is currently seeking a Groundskeeper / Porter for a multifamily apartment community in Northeast Houston. We are looking for a dependable, hard-working team player who takes pride in maintaining the appearance of the property and creating a clean, welcoming environment for residents and guests.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys outdoor work, pays close attention to detail, and understands the importance of curb appeal in a fast-paced apartment community. The position supports a residential community in the Lake Houston / Redemption Square area with amenities such as a lap pool, dog parks, outdoor grilling areas, and walkable community spaces, so consistency, responsiveness, and attention to detail are important.

Groundskeeper Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform general property clean-up and help maintain the overall appearance of the community
• Pick up trash and debris throughout the grounds, breezeways, parking areas, and common areas
• Assist with the exterior upkeep of buildings and property grounds
• Help preserve strong curb appeal through detailed and consistent groundskeeping
• Skim and help maintain cleanliness around the pool area
• Proactively identify and respond to daily property cleanup needs
• Work with the property manager and maintenance team to prioritize responsibilities as needed
• Support the team with additional porter and groundskeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous groundskeeper, porter, janitorial, or landscaping experience preferred
• Multifamily apartment industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Pool skimming or basic pool area upkeep experience is helpful
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail required
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
